Morons Unable To Play Until Next Segment Of Onslaught Review Arrives

ANN ARBOR, MI - Despite the fact that Jacob Hornbender and his friends opened two God decks and won boxes at the prerelease, the four of them steadfastly refuse to draft until Geordie Lipkin-Turner's next article, "Onslaught Set Review: Black" comes out.

"I mean, sure, my friend Winnie won a box at the prerelease and I suppose we could try a four-man draft," Jacob said, trembling. "But I only know the cards up until blue! What happens if I open a Grinning Demon? Would that be a first-pick?"

Jacob's friend Winnie pointed out that David Price had said Grinning Demon was good, at which point Jacob slapped him.

"David was talking about Constructed, man! Don't you know anything? We have to wait!"

Jacob and his crew — called "Team Merchants of Death" — have been patiently awaiting the next installment in Geordie Lipkin-Turner's next installment.

"Geordie said that Discombobulate was 'A counterspell, and counterspells are generally good in limted [sic].' I mean, I never would have thought of that in a million years!"

Other words of wisdom from Lipkin-Turner are the insightful observation that Pinpoint Avalanche is "A solid removal spell," that Skirk Fire Marshal's ability is "hard to pull off, but you'll win the game if you do," and that Airdrop Condor is "unusual for red because it has flying, which is good."

"I guess we could just try and open up the boxes," said Hornbender, looking idly at the sole box of Onslaught his friend won at the prerelease. "But all those cards! In the blue article, Geordie dropped a hint that maybe Accursed Centaur wasn't a splash card; I mean, who knew? We'd better wait."

The box was won when his friend Winnie Jameson got a deck consisting of a Dragon Roost, ten beasts including a Ravenous Baloth, a Riptide Replicator, two Wirewood Savages, Wave of Indifference, and Taunting Elf, winding up in second place.

"The deck was okay, I guess," said Jameson. "But it was mostly my mad play skillz that got me the finish."

"Boo yah!" added Hornbender, who continues to be a big fan of John Friggin' Rizzo.

Geordie Lipkin-Turner's next installment is scheduled to be published on Starcity this week, where the Ferret said he expected to get "tens, if not hundreds" of hits on it. At Lipkin-Turner's current rate of production, Team Merchants Of Death will be able to play their first draft the week before States.
